Shop with Scrip –
An Easy Way to Support GCA!

Tired of door-to-door fundraising? Would you like to get paid to shop? Want to help keep tuition costs for your student as low as possible? Even if you don’t have a child attending, would you just like to support GCA every time you shop or give and use gift cards?

Genesis Classical Academy will be launching SCRIP with an informational meeting in Dikkers Hall on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 PM. All parents, grandparents, and interested community members are invited to attend!

What is SCRIP? With the SCRIP program, supporters purchase prepaid gift cards to use at one of over 700 retailers. You purchase the gift card at your chosen face value, and the school earns a rebate of approximately 2% – 16% (depending on the retailer). The SCRIP card is used just like any other gift card to pay for online or in-store purchases. See a list of retailers.

Do you spend money at local retailers that are not part of the SCRIP program? Consider purchasing a universal debit card (such as VISA, American Express, or Discover) that can be used at any retailer that accepts these cards.

Do you give gift cards for Christmas, birthdays or other gift occasions? Order your gift cards through SCRIP and support GCA at the same time! Most gift cards can be ordered online, and many are reloadable.

The exciting thing about shopping with SCRIP is that you are raising money for the school while only spending money on things you would normally pay for anyway! All it takes is a little pre-planning, but many of your regular monthly expenses – from gas to groceries to home improvement items to clothing – can help to generate a significant amount of money for Genesis. This will help GCA continue to keep tuition costs down and reach our goal of “no child being turned away for financial reasons.”

Mark your calendar to attend on Tuesday, October 24th at 7 pm at Dikkers Hall, and receive a free, newly-designed, GCA T-shirt just for attending (one per household). We extend our special thanks to Thrivent Financial for helping to sponsor the GCA SCRIP kick-off event!
