A Genesis Alert!

A Good Report!

Philippians 4:8 encourages us to meditate on good reports and we have a good report! Four more students joined Genesis Classical Academy this week for a total of 33! Because of our growth, we are reconfiguring our class rosters.

Mrs. Germain’s Kindergarten class will be welcoming our three first graders for a total of nine students in her room. Mrs. Peggy Erickson will be serving as a para-professional in Mrs. Germain’s room and will also be using her degree in science to teach our K-4 NOEO science courses in biology, chemistry and physics.

Ms Willmert will become our full-time curriculum director as we prepare to add grade levels in 2016. Ms Mensch is mentoring under Ms Willmert and will be teaching our second grade which has just grown by two students.

Mrs. Ellis, our 3rd/4th grade teacher and Mrs. Walker, our preschool director have each gained a student this week.

All coursework remains the same and the rigor and excellence of our classical, Christian education is solid.

Hot Lunch!

Several moms have graciously volunteered to alternate making a hot meal on every Friday that we are in session starting Friday, October 2 with Spaghetti! Children will not need to bring a lunch that day. We will send out the full October menu shortly. If you would like to help with Friday hot lunches, please contact the office at 507-893-3600.

Picture Time!

All our GCA students, including all ages of Preschool, will be having their individual pictures taken by Photos by GT on October 14. Please watch for a flyer that will soon be sent home with your student so that you can order pictures of the precious boys and girls in your life.

No School!

Don’t forget that there is teacher In-Service on the 15th and 16th of October. GCA will be closed these two days.

This Saturday!

All K-4 students at GCA will be singing at the “King’s Festival” this Saturday at Dikkers Hall. All our children are royal princes and princes of the “King” – Jesus! They will meet their favorite fairytale characters and may dress in royal attire or wear their GCA khaki pants or shorts and white shirts (boys) or khaki pants or skirts and white shirts (girls). All GCA children are admitted free. Parents with tickets, please remember your cameras!
